Dear membership,

The NAACP Portland Branch 1120-B will hold its election of officers for the next two years on Saturday, November 21, 2020, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. You can read about officer duties in the Bylaws, pg 33. In accordance with COVID-19 guidelines from the National NAACP, the election will be held electronically. Our Branch is using a tool called OpaVoteIn order to vote in the Branch election, one must be a member in good standing of the Branch 30 days prior to the election.

Ballots will be delivered as follows:

* If you have an email address on file in the membership database, you will receive an email with a URL before the election.

* If you do not have an email address on file, you will receive a letter via USPS with a URL and a code unique to you to enter when voting.

Instructions and support information will be included in the email or letter that you receive.

Every voter will need access to an internet-connected device (such as a computer, tablet or smartphone) with a web browser to vote.

Results will be tabulated in OpaVote as soon as the voting is closed and will be communicated to the membership as soon as they are available.

This election is conducted by the Election Supervisory Committee selected by Branch members during the October 2020 General Meeting.

Sincerely,
Treva Flores
