The European Commission is in the process of adopting a Joint Communication and the EU Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy for 2020-2024. One of the main lines of action is harnessing opportunities and addressing challenges posed by the use of new technologies.

The European Commission and the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy proposed the basis for a new strategy with Africa. The communication sets out proposals to intensify cooperation through partnerships in five key areas: digital transformation is one of them.

Implementing the European Open Science Cloud |

The European Commission is launching two calls for proposals related to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), the open and trusted environment for managing research data. With an overall budget of approximately €65 million, the two calls aim to consolidate the EOSC Portal and support interdisciplinary research and Open Science.
