Welcome to our festive, mini-newsletter. We'll keep it short(ish) and sweet, with just a few quick updates.
It has been an exhausting, demanding year for many of us, and we are so grateful to our members for sparing what little time you have towards supporting us and allowing us to represent your views, knowledge and experiences. We have been working hard this year across many different areas of education, health, and social care, to ensure the voice of parent carers is heard.
If you've got time, please do have a quick read below to catch up on our news, but if not then we'd like to wish you and your families a really wonderful festive break.
Take care,
Holly, Jo, Denise, Becky and the ESPCF Committee

17 December 2020
It was lovely to catch up with some of our members on Tuesday evening (15 Dec), via Zoom. Thank you to those who came along and shared what you've been going through these last few months.

If you couldn't make it, don't worry, we hope to hold further get-togethers very soon.
Managing a meltdown
Did you see the recent leaflet we coproduced with education and healthcare services on meltdowns? It is called Managing a Meltdown - A Parents' Guide and is intended to help parent carers cope before, during, and after their child or young person has a meltdown.
Diary snapshot
If you'd like to see exactly what we've been working on in recent weeks, please head over to our closed Facebook group for members, where we've shared our diary snapshot.
If you aren't on Facebook - no problem; please get in touch and we can email or post the snapshot to you.
Our website is a great place to start if you're interested in looking back on our work in 2020.

Closed for the holiday period
We'll be closing our office at the end of the day on Friday 18th December and reopening on Monday 4th January. Of course, if you need to, please do email us or leave a voicemail during this time, and we'll pick these up on our return.

Also, keep an eye out for information from ISEND on social media about how to get in touch with its services during the holiday period.
We're still collecting members' postal addresses in the hope of sending out a little something in the New Year. If you haven't already submitted your address and you're happy to do so, please email the details to us. This information will be kept securely and in accordance with data protection laws.
That's it for this year (we promised we'd keep it short-ish) and we'll sign off by wishing you all a wonderful festive break. See you in 2021!
