The last 4 months have been marked by the gradual exit from lockdown imposed by the Covid-19 crisis.

At OSE, we continued our fundamental missions with results that are the pride of our association. First of all, the academic success of young people supported by our educational teams, that was once again exemplary this year, especially in the current context. Likewise, we wanted to mark the success of the Civic Service in Israel, at a time when this essential program for the commitment and citizenship of young people is celebrating its 10th anniversary. Finally, the OSE continues to strengthen its action in the fields of disability and old age: with an innovative inclusive housing project, which opens up new perspectives of home support meeting the wishes of our elders, and the appointment of our association as a relay for the national support hotline for people with disabilities and their caregivers, in the context of the COVID-19 crisis.

September is the time for the celebrations of the Jewish New Year followed by Yom Kippur. We hope that these celebrations will take place for all in joy and in a spirit of responsibility to fight against the still active pandemic.

Shana Tova! Happy New Year to all!

Jean-François Guthmann,
President of OSE
  Patricia Sitruk,
Director general

Congratulations to all our young people for their work and their academic success in 2020!

We have once again the immense satisfaction of seeing the academic success of young people the OSE is taking care of, especially this year when the context of lockdown has tested our resilience and our capacity to adapt to each and every one of them.

2020: 10th anniversary of Civic Service and 5 years of Civic Service in Israel organized by OSE.

The year 2020 marks an important double anniversary: it is both the 10 years of Civic Service, created in 2010, but also and above all the 5 years of “Civic Service in Israel” that the OSE has been organizing every year since 2015, with the departure of several promotions each year.

The OSE relays Claims Conference campaign to get Facebook to remove Holocaust denial from its platform.

While Facebook removes hate speech from its pages, the platform does not remove Holocaust denial, because it does not consider it as hate speech. This is why the survivors send a video every day to Facebook demanding the removal of denial messages.
