The second edition of the IAU Global Survey on the Impact of COVID-19 on Higher Education around the World is now online. Please take the Survey to help us provide evidence-based data to underline the seriousness of the impact of COVID-19 on higher education and society, thus ensuring that the concerns of universities and higher education institutions are taken into consideration by global decision-makers. The results will particularly feed into the UNESCO World Higher Education Conference 2021. Questionnaire PDF available here.

IAU - E4J Grants Programme

IAU and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) are delighted to announce the signing of a new partnership, beginning with the IAU-E4J Paper Competition for Young Researchers: Higher Education engages with SDG 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions. Interested young scholars are invited to submit a short paper outlining the core idea latest by 10 March. Please carefully consult the eligibility criteria, submission and selection process before sending a proposal.

IAU is an intellectual partner to the Central Asia Nobel Fest 2021. This second edition will take place 7-9 April 2021. UVED Launches its Moodle Platform
|
| |
L’Université Virtuelle Environnement et Développement durable (Digital University for environment and sustainable development) has recently launched its Moodle platform, enabling institutions to benefit from services, retrieve contents of the UVED MOOCs and easily integrate them into their own platform. This will facilitate their reappropriation by teachers, thus developing their use in training activities. In short, it allows teachers to access quality educational content to train themselves as well as their students.

UNESCO World Higher Education Conference

IAU is a key partner to the Third UNESCO World Higher Education Conference, which is scheduled to take place in Barcelona 7-9 October 2021. The event will bring together all relevant stakeholders to define a roadmap for a new era of higher education systems and institutions, which will be responsive to the challenges faced by humanity and the planet, as a result of diverse forms of crises, with special attention to the global disruption created by the COVID-19.

Applications are still open for the 2021 edition of the International Green Gown Awards recognising exceptional sustainability initiatives being undertaken by universities and colleges across the world. The initiative is supported by IAU, the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), l’Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). Deadline to apply: 31 March 2021.

Call for Contributions – ITD 2021

IAU sits on the Strategic Board to the International Transdisciplinarity Conference (ITD). This year, the Conference will take place as a virtual forum from 13-17 September 2021, bringing together individuals, communities, and institutions from across the globe to exchange views on Creating Spaces and Cultivating Mindsets for Learning and Experimentation.
