As part of our ongoing partnership with the Berlin-based collective, A:D: Curatorial, we recently presented the work of Marion Fink & Enikö Márton in "Analogous Dimensions."
Enikö Márton’s paintings and sculptures conjure visions of natural landscapes and processes, bathed in rich, psychedelic color palettes. Her gracious brushstrokes embody a sense of motion and genesis echoed by her sculpture. These curious objects may appear to be crystalline structures, blooming organisms or flowing liquid streams that have erupted, hardened, and been folded or knotted, all awash in an unearthly array of hues.
Marion Fink’s monotypes are surreal combinations of individuals interacting with the Elements, as well as structures of machinery, hardware, and shapes that evoke organic structures and processes, all inhabiting spaces that might be either dystopian or ecstatic. Her images could very well live in Márton’s universe, encountering the fundamental mysteries of life, one dimension at a time. Together, their collection of paintings, sculptures and monoprints trace a surreal journey through the natural elements and residents of the modern world.
A:D: Curatorial is a Berlin-based, nonprofit space and curatorial duo devoted to commissioning new works by diverse artists through precisely curated shows and interdisciplinary public programming. Founding curators, Christy Woody and Maria Isserlis, from the United States and Ukraine, have created a platform for vibrant voices in the current art and music scene to thoughtfully reflect on the current political, social and environmental climate. Their mission is to offer a non-commercial environment for open dialogue while promoting collaboration, cultural exchange and the development of new works. Their supporters, friends and regular visitors include Erika Hoffmann, Kasper König, Vadim Zakharov, Christian Jankowsky and Boris Mikhailov.
