Have Your Say - Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Deal
Work is underway to prepare a bid for a Town Deal for Bletchley and Fenny Stratford worth £25 million. A Town Deal Board has been set up, bringing together people from local businesses, education and lots of other organisations who want to capitalise on the ground-breaking opportunities that Bletchley and Fenny Stratford have to offer.
The Town Board want to hear from you to understand what challenges you think the area faces, including the impact that Covid-19 has had in recent months, and to help identify how to help restore confidence in the local economy.
Please complete the short online survey by following the link below. You can find more information about the Town Deal on our website.

Neighbourhood Plan
The area put forward by the Town Council for designation as a neighbourhood plan area was approved by Milton Keynes Council in May this year. Progress with this neighbourhood plan has been delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but the Town Council hopes to hold consultation events as soon as practicable.

Although the Town Council has begun the process, the development of the plan must be made by the community itself - with the support of the Town Council and Milton Keynes Council, as well as potential planning consultants and other experts. A group composed of local people and businesses will be set up to steer the preparation of the plan and to seek the views of local people.
For more information on joining the steering group or getting involved in devising the plan, please sign up to our neighbourhood plan newsletter. You can sign up to the newsletter, by emailing

Please put 'Neighbourhood Plan Newsletter' in the subject line of the email. In the email itself, please tell us your name and contact information. By emailing us this information, you are giving the town council permission to contact you and to send you the neighbourhood plan newsletter.

There will also be updates about the neighbourhood plan on our website and across our social media channels.

Come and join the market stalls on Bletchley High Street
Are you looking to start a new business? Or are you an experienced market trader wanting to try somewhere new?

There are currently market stalls, in a temporary designated market area, on Bletchley High Street on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. We believe these stalls supplement the retail outlet in Bletchley’s town centre. Our market pitch prices are very competitive and we welcome new traders.
The Town Council recently made the decision to reduce the trading fees significantly and these reduced fees will continue until at least January 2021.

Please find more information, including daily and monthly prices, on our website.

Remembrance Sunday - 8th November 2020
The current guidance for gatherings does not allow the Town Council to obtain permission to hold a public event or close the roads, Therefore, a decision was made at Full Council on Tuesday 18th August 2020 to not hold a public event this year.

The Town Council will be laying a wreath at 9:30am accompanied by the Last Post and Revel and this will be streamed live on our Facebook page. We ask that, in order to maintain a safe environment for everyone and to observe social distancing, that no other persons attend to observe this.

From 10.00am onwards, the memorial will be available for any other wreaths to be laid and for friends and relatives to come and pay their respects, once again maintaining social distancing rules.

We hope that you understand the reasons for these decisions.

Bletchley Landfill site - application rejected by MKDCC
The application for extension of the operational life of Bletchley Landfill site for a further 15 years was unanimously rejected by Milton Keynes Development Control Committee on Thursday 3rd September 2020.

Along with Newton Leys Residents Association, Milton Keynes Council Ward Members and numerous residents, the Town Council objected to the application and ensured that the strength of community feeling was conveyed to the Milton Keynes Development Control Committee.

Whilst there still may be an appeal, this is good news for our area and we will continue to the oppose the application.
