Nonfiction Ninjas

Welcome to the first newsletter of the Nonfiction Ninjas.
We are a group of nonfiction authors who first met at a writing retreat in 2018. We became fast friends and realized we have a passion for NF that we want to share with you and your students.

You have received this newsletter because you are affiliated with one or more of the authors: Michelle Medlock Adams, Lisa Amstutz, Stephanie Bearce, Nancy Churnin, Susan Kralovansky, Wendy Hinote Lanier, Christine Liu-Perkins, Pat Miller, Linda Skeers, and Peggy Thomas.

Nonfiction Fest

Are you ready to try writing nonfiction? Have you had trouble finding NF sessions in webinars and conferences? Are you an experienced nonfiction writer who wants “next level” training and support?

Then you'll want to be part of the second annual NF Fest this February, organized by the Nonfiction Chicks. Twenty-eight authors and illustrators will post on various nonfiction topics. And it's all free. You can even win prizes!

Last year’s NF Fest kicked off a leap year with 29 authors including Melissa Stewart, Candace Fleming, and Lesa Cline Ransome. There were 674 registered participants, and 1.2K members in our NF Fest Facebook group. Participants read and commented on posts and completed activities related to reading, writing, and researching.

NF Fest is like having 28 NF experts come over to your workspace for a personal visit. You'll recieve wonderful instruction, encouragement, and support, and have opportunities to read, write and research in the virtual company of hundreds of fellow writers.
