PROSPECT Webinar on Business models, funding and financing transport
 
In the PROSPECT learning programme, transport is one of the topics which is most demanded. Therefore, on the 2nd of July, we are organising a webinar to share guidance for the implementation of Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs) and present the PROSPECT mentors on transport (City of Valladolid, ES and London, Borough of Croydon, UK).

The new PROSPECT handbook on Citizen Financing is out
 
This handbook provides step-by-step guidelines on how projects can be financed through citizen financing and what can be learned from best practices and case studies related to energy cooperatives and crowdfunding. It will be presented by PROSPECT partner IHS during the Covenant of Mayors - C-Track 50 webinar on the 9th of June, for which you can join the waitlist.

Join the PROSPECT Community during the EU Week of Regions and Cities 2020
 
We are delighted to inform you that PROSPECT has been selected to host a workshop and join the official programme of the EU Week of Regions and Cities 2020 (EUWRC), taking place on 12-15 October in Brussels. However, given the current situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite you to wait before making any travel and accommodation arrangements. The organisers will follow up on the format of the event and the practical implications by early July at the latest. More information on the content of the workshop will follow as well.

PROSPECT has developped this tool to support local authorities in selecting the most suitable financing scheme to implement for local sustainable energy and climate project investments. It allows to check whether the pre-requisites for implementing each innovative financing scheme are met or not.

How to finance Green Investments ? Insights from the PROSPECT Workshop
 
On the 5th of March 2020, PROSPECT hosted a Green Financing workshop in Wels, Austria. Over 70 participants discussed how sustainable lighting, transport or buildings can be financed through innovative financing mechanisms. Energy Performance Contracting, energy cooperatives and revolving funds were among the tools discussed.
