It’s May and lockdown in camp has afforded us the opportunity to lavish some TLC on Iganyana in preparation for our guests as soon as doors open again! As owners of the camp it is a true reward to immerse in the luxury of the camp and in the wilds of Hwange during this time!

Lots of hard work is going into furniture and furnishings this week and our carpenters from the village nearby have breathed new life into dining tables, side tables, dressing tables . . . and much to their chagrin … even times tables too because our four young, school-aged children who are in camp with us over lockdown are learning a thing or two from the carpentry team and subjecting them to a recital of their school work as they work!

Whilst we are in a scholarly conversation, ‘sable' rhymes with ‘table' and that reminds me ! In lockdown, we’ve noticed how much more at ease and trusting the inhabitants of the wild around Iganyana have become with all the peace and quiet. It has been just the perfect time for us to add a new waterhole in front of camp where the antelope feel much more comfortable and they have been visiting us DAILY! We cannot wait for our guests to come and visit too and be rewarded for their stay with great game viewing!
We have released our first draft of the Covid-19 measures the wonderful properties within our portfolio have undertaken to receive guests, please email sales for the full document, or the basic measures can be found on our website under each property.
