Deakin University deserves support
COVID-19 is wreaking havoc on a tragically grand scale, yet paradoxically it has caused many of us to focus on positives we may have taken for granted.
Geelong-headquartered Deakin University is integral to the economic and community fabric of the G21 region and is an institution we must never take for granted.
Regions around the nation are envious of us with a highly-ranked international university supporting our regional community.
However, now more than ever Deakin and its students and staff need our support, and that of the government.

Stan Grant to speak at G21 forum
G21 is assembling a stellar line-up of speakers for its annual stakeholder forum to be held at RACV Torquay Resort in December.
The forum has been rescheduled from August due to Coronavirus.
A key-note speaker will be Stan Grant, a Wiradjuri and Kamilaroi man and leading international journalist. Stan has worked for the ABC, SBS, the Seven Network and Sky News Australia. From 2001 to 2012 he was a CNN anchor and senior correspondent in Asia and the Middle East.
The G21 Forum will be held on Friday 4 December at the Torquay RACV Resort, subject to the lifting of COVID-19 public meeting restrictions.
