The March newsletter of CyberFactory#1 with insights in our use-cases and further updates from the project.
CyberFactory#1 - March Edition
Dear reader,
What do cheese-making and airplane production have in common?
You'll find the answer in our latest blog post covering the centerpiece of CyberFactory#1. Additionally, we give you insights into the Cyber Resilience Starting Point Demo of the Finnish consortium that was presented during the ITEA review in Oulu in late January.
A new month = another opportunity to meet the people behind the project - on March 11th and 12th project lead Adrién Becue and technical coordinator Isabel Praça will attend two events organized by the European Factories of the Future Research Association. We want to also briefly remind you of the Call for Papers for the special issue of Applied Science on "Cyber Factories: Intelligent and Secure Factories of the Future". And speaking of papers - congrats to the German partners on their paper acceptance for the AUTOMATION 2020 in Baden-Baden in late June.
As usually, your questions and feedback are always welcome at
Yours sincerely,
An overview of the Use-Cases of CyberFactory#1
In our latest blog post our task lead of T 2.2 (Use-cases Definition) José Antonio Rivero Martinez from Airbus Space & Defense Spain gives an overview of the use-cases that build the core of the project.
Finnish consortium with first steps towards improved FoF security
When developing Factories of the Future, security must be considered from the outset. CyberFactory#1 will respond to this challenge by developing a set of safety and security capabilities. One of these capabilities is cyber resilience. Although the development work has not yet started, CyberFactory#1’s Finnish partners prepared and presented a Cyber Resilience Starting Point Demo in the project review at Oulu in January.
Reminder: Call for Papers
A short reminder of the call for contributions on a special issue of Applied Science on "Cyber Factories: Intelligent and Secure Factories of the Future", with guest editor Prof. Dr. Isabel Praça of the School of Engineering (ISEP) / Polytechnic Institute of Porto (IPP), who is one of the involved partners in CyberFactory#1. Deadline for manuscript submissions is March 31st.
Paper Acceptance at AUTOMATION 2020
A collaborative paper by the German consortium partners was accepted at AUTOMATION 2020 and will be presented at the conference June 30th in Baden-Baden.
