Dear Fellow Democrat,
Hope your first days of summer have been wonderful! Our next general meeting will be Wednesday, June 26th at the Edgewood Fire Station (10105 24th St E, Edgewood, WA 98371). The regular meeting begins at 7 PM. Please come early for social hour at 6 PM to meet with like-minded neighbors. This month we have several candidates requesting endorsement and an exciting guest speaker scheduled! (Full Agenda)

How do we effect change as individuals, when our house is on fire, and the masters of the house are asleep? Our Legislature just passed an unprecedented swath of pro environment and pro climate bills. How can we magnify this achievement?
Climate Change is not just an environmental crisis; it is a medical emergency, an agricultural emergency, an extreme weather emergency, and at its core, a moral crisis. It is also an invitation to build, innovate, effect change, and most importantly, awaken our love and compassion.
Barak is a Volunteer Climate Reality Leader and Mentor, trained by Former Vice President Al Gore and the Climate Reality Project. He is a pas Board Member and President of the Washington Wilderness Coalition. A retired Optometrist, he now works for the envriomvent full time. He has given dozens of presentations at high schools, congregations, Lions Clubs, and will be joing us at our June General Meeting!

This summer, the 31st LD Democrats will be engaging, educating, and rallying our community members at several summer fairs and picnics throughout our district. First on the calderar is the Buckley Log Show at the end of the month. Additional events, throughout the summer include: the Auburn 4th of July Festival, the Edgewood Community Picnic, Auburn Fest, and Bonney Lake Days. Plus, for the first time, the 31st LD Democrats will be co-hosting a booth at Tacoma Pride with Pierce County Democrats! We are always looking for volunteers to help us set-up, tear-down, and engage with the public about the 31st District Democrats!
