As regulations and guidelines are developing rapidly amidst the current health situation, we endeavour to keep you up-to-date with all of the relevant information about volunteering.
 
Volunteering Barnet as part of Barnet Together partnership, have teamed up with the council to support the development of Community Help Hub. To request help for others or register as a volunteer visit Community Help Hub page. It is the best source of information about community work in the borough and to find out how to help anyone in need.
 
If you haven't already, you can also join the Barnet Covid19 Group on Slack. This is a shared online platform to exchange ideas and work together. It is set up by the council and connects charities and organisations in the borough.

This fund is being operated by Young Barnet Foundation on behalf of Barnet Together, and with support by Barnet Council, Councillors and other community groups.
 
Funding may be used for; food to support food banks, support smaller groups, PPE equipment for volunteers. There will be one round of funding every week or bi-weekly. You can apply for funding up to £500, depending on the amount of donations.

 London's funders have come together to produce this first wave of funding. It will focus on urgent needs, later funding will support organisations to deliver services in new ways to support communities, and to ensure that their longer-term needs are considered by the funding community.

If you're concerned about accessing data of beneficiaries' while working from home - alongside other members of the family or household, continue to follow basic standard procedures and policies. This webinar offers useful resources for GDPR officers or anyone who would like to get up to speed with GDPR.
