As the organisations, charities and communities across the country collectively respond to COVID-19, volunteering is ever more important now. It is inspiring to see the immense difference organisations and communities are making on the ground in Barnet -supporting those who need it the most.

Here at Volunteering Barnet as part of Barnet Together, we have teamed up with the council to support the development of Community Help Hub. This is the best way to get up-to-date information about community work in response to COVID-19 including requesting help for others or registering as a volunteer
We are also connecting weekly with volunteer centres around the country to make sure we understand and share the latest volunteer learning, guidance and news.

Work from Home Tips
  1. Try and stick to a regular routine - something as simple as making a cup of tea or coffee at the same time each day.
  2. Have a 'buddy' system in the workplace - daily check-in with a friend or colleague to give them support.
  3. If you're able to, go outside for a lunchtime walk, or a run after work, to give your mind a break & get you away from a screen.
  4. Start a daily challenge with colleagues or volunteers - haikus, riddles, drawings or photo challenge.
  5. Lastly...don't worry if you are struggling - but make sure you reach out to colleagues, managers, friends or family for advice.
All our services are active and operating as usual. If you need any support or information, reach us between 10am - 4pm, from Monday to Friday.
