TWO DOLLAR RADIO

Two Dollar Radio Radio aims to discuss community and literary culture by expanding on topics addressed by our publications through virtual events, podcasts, and video.

With indie bookstores moving online and author tours being cancelled, it seemed like the perfect time for us to re-visit a project we've been working on sporadically over the last couple years: an audio-visual supplement to our books that we call Two Dollar Radio Radio.

Two Dollar Radio Radio will include podcasts, virtual events with authors hosted by an indie bookstore we love, or other video features.

To kick it off, we are partnering with indie bookstores for virtual events. We're still adding dates, but following are the confirmed events so far:

FRI, 5/1 @ 7pm EST
Kentucky Colonels
with J.D. Wilkes (author of The Vine That Ate the South) + Gary Lovely (bookseller and publisher of Harpoon Books)
featured indie: The Book Loft (Columbus, OH)

FRI, 5/8 @ 7pm EST
Art in Uncertain Times
with Andre Perry (author of Some of Us Are Very Hungry Now and director of the Englert Theater), Phil Kim (Marketing & Communications Director, Ohio CItizens for the Arts), + Sadie Dupuis (Wax Nine Records and Speedy Ortiz)
featured indies: Prairie Lights (Iowa City, IA) and People's Books and Culture (Philadelphia, PA)

FRI, 5/15 @ 12pm EST
Authors in Conversation
with Yelena Moskovich (author of Virtuoso) + Sarah Rose Etter (author of The Book of X)

Stay tuned for future events! All invitations to virtual events will be shared via this newsletter.
