Hey friends,
We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy, and that your good days outweigh the bad. Maybe you even picked up a sweet skill or two. Like, say, nunchuk skills, or bowhunting skills, or computer hacking skills. In all seriousness, we do hope that you've found joy while enveloped in a good book. I know we have (more on that to come!).
We have a few goodies in store for you, kicking off with our inaugural virtual event of Two Dollar Radio Radio! This event will be the first of several — events are also in the works with Yelena Moskovich (Virtuoso), Sarah Rose Etter (Book of X), Andre Perry (Some of Us Are Very Hungry Now), as well as non-Two Dollar Radio authors like Speedy Ortiz frontwoman Sadie Dupuis, and arts advocate and musician Phil Kim — so be sure to stay tuned!
Stay safe and keep reading.

The Book of X by Sarah Rose Etter
The Book of X is a surreal exploration of one woman’s life and death against a landscape of meat, office desks, and bad men.
25% of author proceeds from the sale of The Book of X are donated to NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for the millions of Americans affected by mental illness. We are proud to partner with Sarah Rose Etter in supporting mental health.

Quail Ridge Books
Raleigh, NC
Founded in 1984 by Nancy Olson, Quail Ridge Books provides a wide variety of carefully selected books, events, discussion groups and town hall meetings. Owner Lisa Poole bought the store in 2013 and is dedicated to keeping it local. Quail Ridge is kind of a big deal. They have been awarded Publishers' Weekly Bookseller of the Year, The Pannell Award for Excellence in Children's Bookselling, and The Haslam Award for Excellence in Bookselling.

Quail Ridge Books also has a podcast called Bookin', hosted by one of our favorite indie booksellers, and one of the first members of the Two Dollar Radio Tattoo Club, Jason Jefferies. Jason has interviewed authors like Valeria Luiselli, Rebecca Solnit, Erik Larson and more. He's also interviewed a few Two Dollar Radio authors (we suggest checking out his interviews with Katya Apekina and Scott McClanahan).
Quail Ridge Books has closed to the public but they are offering FREE media mail shipping on eligible items. Nice! Check out some of their staff picks for reading ideas. Click the button below to go to their website.
