Tombstone Chamber of Commerce
Update from the Tombstone Chamber of Commerce October Board meeting held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019
For over a decade the Tombstone Chamber of Commerce has worked in contractual partnership with the City of Tombstone for the promotion of Tombstone, its businesses and community as a whole.

Most recently the Tombstone City Council chose not to renew the professional services agreements that it had with the Tombstone Chamber of Commerce. Because of this loss of support and the change in responsibilities that had been associated with those agreements, the Chamber will no longer be acting in the non-traditional role of a Chamber that was endorsing total inclusiveness regardless of membership. While some changes were already in the works for 2020, the Chamber Board has been forced to implement some additional changes and updates immediately.

While the Tombstone Chamber will continue to promote Tombstone as a whole, its resources and attention will revert to the traditional Chamber model where the primary focus will be the businesses and events of those who choose to invest in themselves thru membership.

Other immediate changes will include Chamber office hours of operation, the hours of will vary depending on workload demands but generally Monday – Friday 9-1 and the Chamber Office now only has 1 phone line, (520) 457-9317.
The Parade will now have an entry fee of $10 for Chamber members and $15 for non-members. The entry form will be available on the Chamber website not later than Friday, November 8, 2019.
The town Christmas tree needs new lights and decorations, as does the Allen Street pole decorations. Sponsorship opportunities will be reasonable but limited so we can promote the Christmas Tree sponsors.
Sponsorship Levels are:
  • $100 for a Co-Main-Sponsor
  • Four - $50 sponsors (One/$50 slot has been claimed by Jim Lindsey owner of Silver Hills Trading)
  • two- $25 Sponsors
Please let us know if you’re interested by October 31 because we are creating a flyer and social media postings for this - you can let us know  by calling or emailing the Chamber Office 457-9317,
