ATHLETE RECRUITMENT
FOR PARALYMPIC SOCCER

The Clemson University Paralympic soccer program is interested in having you join us. This is a unique opportunity to earn an academic degree while pursuing your goals in CP / TBI soccer. U.S. News & World report gave Clemson the 24th ranking of top national public universities for 2019. Clemson University is offering out-of-state tuition waivers for eligible candidates to take part in the Paralympic soccer program while obtaining your degree at a nationally recognized university with significantly reduced tuition costs. The Paralympic soccer program at Clemson University is intended to be a training center that provides you with opportunities to have guidance and coaching alongside other athletes with similar disabilities to prepare for upcoming local, national, or international competitions while being able to simultaneously focus on your academic goals.

WHAT DOES THE PROGRAM INVOLVE?
The objectives of the Paralympic soccer program are to ensure that you can be successful both on the field and in the classroom. While we build flexibility into the program to make sure that the academic needs of each athlete are the priority, we also make sure that soccer-specific training is accessible to the athletes on a regular basis.

A typical week might consist of:
  • 2 days of training on the field
  • 2 days of training in the gym
  • 2 days of training with a local club program in order to get playing time in game-like situations.
